Kiradech finishes T9 in the Netherlands

September 18: Overnight leader Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand closed with a disappointing two-over-par 73 to finish tied ninth at the KLM Open on Sunday.

The 2013 Asian Tour number one was on track to victory when he birdied holes two and 14 but double bogeys on the 15th and 18th holes dashed his title hopes. He finished on 12-under-par 272 in the tournament that was won by Romain Wattel of France.

Carlos Pigem of Spain saved his best for last when he posted a 66 to finish in a share of 14th place.

In the United States, Anirban Lahiri of India carded a five-under-par 66 to end his campaign at the BMW Championship in tied ninth place.

Lahiri totalled 12-under-par 272 and is hitting top form ahead of the Presidents Cup later this month where he will represent the International Team.
