JOHAN EDFORS (SWE) - FIRST ROUND 64 (-8)
How was the course playing?
The winds blew in a different direction and it was a bit confusing. All the reachable par fours in the pro-am were not quite reachable. It was only 17 that I had a go at. The course was playing really good. The traps are at the right spots. Quite often, I can fly them but I couldn't do them here and I played quite conservatively today and gave myself decent chances and holed quite a few.
There's no rough but the greens are tricky. You have to be careful on the approach shots. I got the most out of my round today.
You must be pleased that you took advantage of all the par fives?
I got off to a good start. Birdied one and two and got really lucky on six, the par five downhill. I hit a poor drive and barely got it over the water with the second shot and managed to get it up and down for birdie, so that was a bit lucky. I then had a good finish with two birdies and the eagle on the last.
On 16, the wind was against us and I wasn't sure how far left I could hit over the OB and decided to hit a soft one to the right and pitched it up and holed a nice 20 footer there. On 17, I hit a good drive to 30 feet and two putted for birdie. On the last, I hit a three wood to about 15, 20 feet for the eagle. It was a nice way to finish.
Game plan for tomorrow?
I will try to play as I did today. The second shots to the par fours are key and you have to try and stay patient. Hopefully, I can hole a few putts as well.
Are you a good front runner?
I think so. Usually when I've had a chance to win a tournament, I have taken that chance. I'm not won leading on the European Tour but I've done it on the Challenge Tour and I know the feeling and I like it.

NOH SEUNG-YUL (KOR) - FIRST ROUND 66 (-6)
I made a few putts and every shot I hit kind of worked out there. I'm feeling good. I took a two week break recently from the Asian Tour as I was feeling a bit tired after playing in four straight events. I put in a bit of work which showed on the course.
My game is getting better as I'm gaining more experience playing on Tour. I'm taking it one step at a time. My target is to try and win the Asian Tour Order of Merit over the next two or three years and become better than KJ Choi eventually.
I made a long putt for birdie from 30 feet at the 15th hole. Apart from that, the other birdies were from six to eight feet.
It's a beautiful course out here and I enjoy playing this course. The wind tends to pick up in the afternoon but it's not a problem for me as where I come from (Kang Won-do), it is also windy there during spring time

FRANKIE MINOZA (PHI) - FIRST ROUND 67 (-5)
I started from the 10th and started really good with two birdies. Made bogey on 12 after missing a drive but came back with birdies on 16 and 17 and then three putted 18 for bogey. On the next nine, I hit it really consistent and made some good putts. I am quite happy with the round. My irons worked really well.
I have been hitting the ball quite good at the start of the year. First part of the year, my putting wasn't so good but I'm quite happy with my overall game now. I'm just trying to make the cut and then play good at the weekend. I've played four events this year and played good but didn't play too well at the weekend. Maybe it's a sign of age. I need to work a little bit harder.
I turn 50 in December, so I'm going to try the Champions Tour qualifying in the US later this year. We'll see what happens. It's so difficult to keep up with the young boys as they are hitting it so long. The game has changed.
I have worked hard. I'll try my best to qualify. When you are going 50, your dream is to play on the Champions Tour, not this Tour any more as it's harder to compete.
I still work hard. When I'm home, I go to the gym every day. I do weights, go biking. That's my hobby now. Try to become fit. Otherwise I can't keep up with the young boys, especially in this heat. If you have no stamina, you'll die early!
This course is one of the best courses I've played. Conditions are so good, just like you're playing in the states. You get a good feeling here but the greens are a bit tricky. If you look left, the ball goes right. It depends on where the mountain in.

NEVEN BASIC (AUS) - FIRST ROUND 67 (-5)
I played nicely, got off to a very good start. I went birdie, eagle birdie. Played nicely from there. It's a beautiful golf course. It's definitely one of the best conditioned golf course I've ever played. The surroundings great, where we're staying is great, everything about this is really nice.
I've played okay this year. It's my best first round in a while. I've sort of had two decent rounds and two average rounds. Hopefully I can have four good ones this week. I don't know, I've just been there or there abouts. I've not gone on a roll or had a string of birdies.
I've started using the new TItleist ball this week and that could be the difference. It's a bit more durable and it feels nice off the club face. I'm using the Pro V1x. It's the new model and it goes very nicely.
Hit it to 10 feet on the first hole, three wood to the second hole to about 15 feet for eagle and holed a 25 footer on the third. Made a couple of bogeys on nine and 12 and then birdied 14 and 16. Birdied six as well.
I'm just going to try to do the same tomorrow. It's going to be a bit windy in the afternoon but it's going to feel a bit like home. I'm used to playing in those conditions so hopefully I'll make the best of it tomorrow.
CHAPCHAI NIRAT (THA) - FIRST ROUND 69 (-3)
There's no pressure at all after last week's win. I know the greens are difficult to read out here and the winds are strong as well. I'm happy with this start as I got it from even to three under par.
I bogeyed the last hole after a wayward drive that landed on the first fairway but I'm still quite close to the lead. You can't really predict the scores this week.
