  WHAT THEY SAID

Marcus Both (Aus)
It always disappointing to finish with a bogey as it was a bad tee shot. But more than anything it was caused by standing on the tee for more than 10 minutes because the group in front had a ruling. It wasn’t ideal as I stood there, waiting and waiting and I didn’t hit a great tee shot. All I could do was to chip one back to the top of the hill. I’ve been playing quite nicely for a while now and it’s nice to hole a few putts that I did today to make a move. There are still plenty of guys who have yet to go out and ahead of me. So I’m not expecting to stay close to the leaders like where I am now. But it’s alright. It’s better than where I started during the day. I’m going to play extremely well tomorrow because I don’t think I’m going to be within three or four shots behind. But you never know. There may be a 62 or 63 out there and you just have to do it.

Miguel Angel Jimenez (Esp)
It is the lead in the clubhouse but the leaders have just started and have a round to go. The golf course is playing well and if you play properly you can make birdies. The course is in great condition and if you hit it decent you can make a good score. I love the golf course. It is a course you don’t need to bang the ball to win or do well. You need to focus on the shot, put the ball in play, you need to hit fades, need to hit draws and play with the ball. I like the trees all over the place. You have to play golf. I am hitting it well. Missed the second shot on the third hole left and made a good chip there. Hit all the shots very well. Three metres for birdie on the fourth, hit a good five-iron on the fifth, the par-three, to four metres.  Next I missed the driver a little but it was still on the first cut and then hit a five iron to two feet. Also on 18th hit a very good shot there. Also on the 12th, I missed the green just on the right and chipped almost in. I’m playing very well and I feel very confident.

Jyoti Randhawa (Ind)
I think even if I didn’t hit the ball as well as the past two days, I putted really well today. That has been lacking throughout. I got my strokes back together, made a few putts so I was happy with that. Hopefully I’ll do well. I like the weather today as it’s always better to play in a cooler temperature than hot.
