QUINCY QUEK (SIN) THIRD ROUND 66 (-6) TOTAL 205 (-10)

It was going alright until my double bogey on the 15th hole but it was good to recover with a birdie on the 18th hole. I had eight birdies, I can’t complain. The putter has been good to me so I hope it will continue tomorrow.

It helps when you are in a good position after three rounds as it puts a bit of pressure off. I’m pretty comfortable with the way I’m playing. I don’t feel much pressure this week maybe because I have played before on the Asian Tour last year. Game wise I have matured since my amateur and that has definitely helped.

ARTEMIO MURAKAMI THIRD ROUND 65 (-7) TOTAL 205 (-10)

Nobody would be angry to shoot a 65! Everything was solid. My tee to green was excellent. I have been struggling with my putting the entire season but sometimes you get a good day and today was one of them. I started from back nine and was playing par after 15th and on the 16th my approach missed the green. Luckily I was able to save par with my chip in. That was the turning point of my round.

AKHMAL TARMIZEE (MAS) THIRD ROUND 68(-4) TOTAL 139 (-5)

I’m very happy with my round. I shot six birdies and two bogeys. My ball striking was very good considering the strong wind. The condition of the golf course is also good and that helped with my game.

This is my first time playing the Asian Tour Qualifying School but I’m not feeling nervous. I just need to concentrate on my own game. My game is very good at the moment and that is somewhat of a confidence booster for me.

TRAN LE DUY NHAT (VIET) THIRD ROUND 68 (-4) TOTAL 211 (-4)

It was a good start from me as I made an early birdie and eagle. Sadly, I made two bogeys after that. It has been like that the whole week. Good thing I made enough birdies to cover up my bogeys.

I hit a good drive on the second hole and had like 227 yards to the pin. I hit my four iron on the fringe of the green, pin high and putted it in from about 20 feet. I wanted to try and put it near the hole and shoot a birdie but luckily it went in.

I’m happy with how I played. You can always say that ‘I could have done this or that’ but four-under is a good score. I wasn’t as nervous as yesterday and having a three-under advantage going into my last few holes kept me composed. I just took it one shot at a time.

I’m not going to think ahead tomorrow and try not to get too excited. I just want to play like how I did the few days and hopefully everything will work out fine.

SHUKREE OTHMAN (MAS) THIRD ROUND 72 TOTAL 211 (-4)

I’m still happy despite shooting an even-par because the closing holes are quite difficult. I was two-under after 11 but dropped two shots on the 12th and 14th holes. That was quite disappointing. Overall I feel that it was still an okay round for me.

This is my second time playing in the Qualifying School. I felt that my form has improved lately so I decided to try my luck in Q-School. The course layout suits my style of play and I feel confident playing here. I’m not really nervous even though I know I have a good chance of securing my card. I just want to stay focus and continue playing shot-by-shot.

PAVIT TANGKAMOLPRASERT (THA) THIRD ROUND 72 TOTAL 211 (-4)

I was hitting very well but two bad shots really cost me my round. I pulled out my driver on the 16th hole and that was a mistake. I set my mind on using a three wood but I don’t know what came over me and I pushed my drive into the water. That cost me two shots.

I also found water on 13th and that was really disappointing because I was three-under after 12 holes. Overall, I’m on four-under and that isn’t too bad. There’s very strong wind so I don’t think anyone can get low scores today. I’ll just play my best tomorrow and learn from today to plan my shots first. I’m a bit nervous because everyone wants a spot in the top-40 but if I just play my game, I don’t see why I won’t get into the top-40.

BRYAN SALTUS (USA) THIRD ROUND 70 (-2) TOTAL 215 (-1)

Overall, I’m happy with my round. I had one little mishap out there, one bogey but that’s pretty good for me. I haven’t been playing too much golf so for how good I’m playing, I’m feeling quite comfortable. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

It would mean a lot (to break into the top-40). I was telling myself if I don’t get my card, I know the right people to get invites but it would be nice not to write those letters. It would be good to be back on the Asian Tour and I will be back.

I know where I need to be and if I play decent tomorrow, I will be fine. I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself and next to Jean Van De Velde, I probably got the most experience so I’m really feeling at home.
