July 30: Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Noh Seung-yul of Korea posted an opening five-under-par 66 to lie in tied fourth place at the Irish Open on Thursday.
Noh, 19, fired an eagle, five birdies and two bogeys to trail the first round leader David Howell of England by two strokes.
Noh has been enjoying a splendid season so far, highlighted by his victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open and making his Major debut at the US Open where he finished in tied 40th place.
Andrew Dodt of Australia, winner of the Avantha Masters in India, fired a 67 to lie in tied 13th place while Shiv Kapur of India signed off with a 68 to sit in 25th position.
In the United States, Jeev Milkha Singh of India produced a three-under-par 67 to lie in 25th place at the Greenbrier Classic.
The two-time Order of Merit champion is four strokes behind tournament leader Erik Compton of the United States.
