Marcus ended a seven-year title drought in style when he claimed his biggest victory to date at the 2010 Ballantine’s Championship in Korea. He signed on as an Asian Tour member following his victory to expand his playing opportunities. His brother Adam had also played on the Asian Tour. Marcus won his maiden Challenge Tour title in 2003 in the Danish Open and followed it quickly with his second success at the Talma Finnish Challenge. Two weeks later he notched his third victory at the Russian Open. As an amateur Marcus represented Australia at the Eisenhower Trophy and won the world amateur individual title in 2002.
