Teen titan Noh continued to show his immense talent by putting together seven top-10s in 2009, with his best finish being a tied fifth outing at the Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters. Supremely talented, he was one of the success stories of the 2008 season. After earning his Tour card with a tied 24th finish at Qualifying School, he made an immediate impact by finishing tied second at the SAIL Open in India and was runner-up again at the Asian Tour International in Thailand. He further established himself with another impressive joint eighth place finish at the Volvo China Open before going on to finish second again in the Maekyung Open on home soil. He entered the final round as the leader but was caught by countryman Hwang Inn-choon who prevailed over Noh in a sudden-death play-off. Defeat was a bitter pill to swallow for Noh who would have been the Tour’s youngest winner in history but he made up for that disappointment by winning the Midea China Classic with a polished performance, and eventually finished an impressive 10th place on the Order of Merit and earned the Rookie of the Year award. In 2006, he finished tied third at the Maekyung Open while he was still an amateur and followed that up with another top-10 at the Korean Open. Noh enjoyed a strong amateur career where he won the 2005 Korean Amateur Championship and 2005 Korean Junior Amateur. Was part of the Korean national team in 2006 and 2007.
