• Lin is a six-time winner on the Asian Tour and Chinese Taipei’s most successful golfer. Also has two wins on the Asian Development Tour on home soil. • Enjoyed three top-10s in 2016, finishing second in the King’s Cup behind compatriot Chan Shih-chang. • He was in contention at the 2015 Ho Tram Open before losing in a four-way play-off to Sergio Garcia. • Won sixth Asian Tour title at 2013 Solaire Open in the Philippines after pulling off two remarkable shots from the trees to end a four-year title drought. • Enjoyed his finest year in 2008, winning two titles and finishing second on the Order of Merit. • Biggest career victory was winning the 2008 UBS Hong Kong Open in a three-way play-off against Francesco Molinari and Rory McIlroy. Produced one of the greatest shots from out of the trees for birdie on the 18th hole to stay in the play-off before winning with another exquisite chip to a foot for birdie. • Ended 2008 season in 49th place on the Official World Golf Ranking and earned a trip to the Masters Tournament, the first Chinese Taipei player in 20 years to qualify. • Represented Chinese Taipei for the first time at the World Cup in 2008.
• Comes from a family of golfers where his father Lin Chia was one of Chinese Taipei's top professionals and a former winner of the ROC PGA Championship. • His father’s best advice to him was “to always keep the golf swing in the same tempo.” • His uncle, Lin Chi-hsiang is also a winner in Asia while another young brother Wen-ko is also a winner on the Asian Tour and Wen-hong is a regular on Tour. • Said his mental strength wasn't up to mark previously but has learned to relax on the golf course.
