Marcus Both (Aus) – Second Round 66 (-6), Total 136 (-8)
I played nicely. I played equally well yesterday but made a couple of mistakes at the end of the round. It is a round of golf which you hope to play. I didn’t get into trouble and kept the ball in play. When I did miss some greens, I got up-and-down.
It is rare day where you keep the big numbers off your card especially here because everyone will say that it is a golf course that can bite you at any stage. Every shot here requires 100% commitment.
I missed the green on 18 but I was lucky to hole my bunker shot. It is those little things that keep you going. We still got two rounds to go but as far as today’s job, I think I did pretty good.
At the end of last year, I was playing better than what my score suggested. That was why it was so frustrating. I played poorly at the start on 2013. One of my strengths was ball striking and I hit it really poorly.
There has been a lot of good stuff in my game in the last couple of months. It is nice to be back up on the leaderboard. I was there or there about in Jakarta and I have to keep pressing on and keep doing what got me here.
Chan Kim (Usa) – Second Round 72 (even par), Total 138 (-6)
I was hitting the ball just as good as yesterday. I just put myself in a few bad spots like hitting it into the trees on 18 and three putting on 17. I’m playing well but I need to stay patient when I’m not making putts.
I made 32 putts today compared to 25 yesterday and that’s quite disappointing because I hit a lot of greens. I just can’t force myself and need to continue to keep my ball in the fairway. Sooner or later the putts are going to drop so I need to stay patient for the weekend.
I’m not too disappointed with my round. Even par on this golf course is really good. If I can get my putter rolling then I have at least one more low round in me. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s round.
Siddikur Rahman (Ban) – Second Round 73 (+1), Total 139 (-5)
I’m happy with my round. I was hitting it good but I couldn’t hole my putts. I hit a good number of fairways and greens in regulation but didn’t do too well on the greens. I just need to hole more putts.
I made a lot of good putts and it is unfortunate I couldn’t shoot under-par. I’m not disappointed because we have two days more to go. Every day is a different day and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can get back into the same rhythm so that explains why I shot a 66 yesterday and a 73 today!
I’m going to practice on my putting and hit some shots at the driving range. My hitting is really good and my new irons are still awesome. My plan is to continue to find the fairways and greens. I need to keep giving myself chances and hope the putt drops.

I didn’t start too well (played on the back nine) but I recovered nicely on my way back. I don’t know why but I don’t seem to play well on the back nine here. I was hitting it okay and my putting was not too bad.
You need to have a good putter here because the greens are small and tricky. You can’t think too much when you are on the greens. Just try to find the line and putt. I’ve been playing okay this year and I seem to do well in the Philippines (finished second at the Solaire Open in March).
S.S.P. Chowrasia (Ind) – Second Round 71 (-1), Total 142 (-2)
Yes I’m in a good position and I think I have a good chance. Honestly, this is a very tough course. It isn’t a long course but the greens are so tricky. I can’t read the lines here. I always ask my caddy and he has been helping me.
We are playing on cow grass this week and it is not usually the type of grass which we normally play on the Asian Tour. But I used to play golf on cow grass at my old golf club, the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
I’ve been playing well and the key has been down to a lot of practice. I’m waiting for that win and I’m practising very hard. Hopefully it comes soon.
