It’s been so exciting. I am very happy as this is my first win since turning professional and my first win came on the Asian Tour! It has been a great week. I am very happy to get the job done. I know Nicholas (Fung) was close but I told myself not to think about it. I told myself to play shot by shot and stay focused. I will try my best in the remaining tournaments and hopefully finish inside top-25 on the Order of Merit. I haven’t played well since earning my Asian Tour card earlier this year so I am really happy with this win. It is a great boost of confidence, especially playing in my first year as a professional.
I would love to qualify for the EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM next year. With this win, I think I should have a good chance. It’s my honour to present my home country in big events like this. Hopefully I can get more good results after this win. I have seen how our Thai players played in the last EurAsia Cup. I want to be like them too. I will keep trying to get good results so as to put myself in a better position to qualify.

The hole that cost me the title this week was the 16th hole where I three-putted. I missed a two-foot putt there. I’ve learnt about how to stay patient despite getting a bad score. I’m proud I managed to prove myself under such challenging conditions. I misjudged my approach shot on 18. Even after making that bogey on 16, I knew Danthai was ahead of me by one but I also knew there were still birdie opportunities on 17 and 18. I tried not to put too much pressure on myself but I’m not disappointed. I’m happy with how I played. This may not be my week but it’s okay, this is golf. What’s yours will be yours one day.
Jeunghun Wang (Kor) – Final Round 69 (-1), Total 284 (Even par)
Actually I didn’t even think I would be able to post such a good score this week. This is my first visit to Singapore and also the first time I’m playing on this golf course. So I’m really proud that I managed to play well here as this is not an easy course. I’m so happy now and I just want to keep going next week and try my best again. If anything, I need to work on the mental aspect of my game.

It’s been a great week. My ball striking was good and I really enjoyed the trickiness of this course. It’s so tricky but it’s a good test of your patience. I am really happy with how I finished. It has been a steady season for me so far. I have had a couple of good results which is great. I’m getting to know the golf courses on the Asian Tour now so it has been great. I’m looking forward to Manila now. I played well over there last year. I hope to play better this time round.
Prom Meesawat (Tha) – Final Round 70 (-1), Total 286 (+2)
You need a lot of patience to play on this course. It’s good to shoot under-par, especially on this challenging course. I’m very happy with how I played. It was quite windy last few days but I’m hitting the ball good. I managed to hole some good putts. But I still made a few mistakes which could have been avoided, especially yesterday when I made a triple-bogey. Anyway, I’m glad to finish off strong. I’m looking forward to next week and I will try to get some good results in the remaining of the year.
Jazz Janewattananond (Tha) - Final Round 67 (-4), Total 286 (+2)
I managed to hole some putts today. The putts just couldn’t drop yesterday. I guess that was what made the difference today. I am very happy with the way I played. I spoke to my coach last night and he told me to change my set up a bit. He said I should keep to a strong posture and not slouch too much. I kept it really simple today. I just make sure my set up is strong and that seems to work out well.
He also said I might have a chance to win if I shoot a low number today because this golf course is hard. I managed to do that even though it might not be low enough to win. But it’s ok. It’s still a good experience this week. This course is a good test of patience. I am looking forward to next week in Manila. That is a golf course which I’ve played well before so hopefully I can do well again next week.
Scott Barr (Aus) – Final Round 71 (Even par), Total 287 (+3)
It’s been an exciting week. I’ve played very well for most of the week but just didn’t have play well enough today. This top-10 finish should get me into top-60 on the Order of Merit now. I haven’t been playing well this season actually. I got off to a very poor start earlier this year. I have played some good golf but didn’t manage to finish off well. Hopefully this week will be a sign of more good things to come. I know I need to start playing well to keep my card for next season. I’m looking forward to the tournaments coming up.
