May 9: In our latest series of Q&As with stars from the Asian Tour, Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh reveals his most memorable achievements, his favourite movie and playing in the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM.
What’s the most memorable moment of your career so far?
It has to be when I won the 2010 Brunei Open because my career has been on an upswing since then.
What do you do to relax when you’re home?
I like talking to my friends in Bangladesh.
What’s your favourite club in the bag?
My 52 degree wedge. I feel very confident when I use that club.
What’s your favourite movie?
Slumdog millionaire. It was such an interesting and touching movie.
What did you think of the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM?
The event was very grand and it was played in a different format. It was definitely a good event for the Asian players.
Who is your favourite female golfer?
Michelle Wie!
What’s your favourite food on Tour?
I always try the local delicacy in every country I visit.
One sentence to describe the Asian Tour?
I think it is an awesome Tour and it has helped me in my career.
Who’s your favourite superhero?
Amitabh Bachchan. I know he isn’t a superhero but he is a superhero to me!
What are your favourite sports apart from golf?
I like watching football. I support Manchester United even though they are not doing too well this season.
What’s better for your? A hole in one or loads of birdies?
More birdies!
If you cook, what’s the best dish you can make?
I can’t cook.
