This is a very important win for me. I have been waiting for a long time. I worked really hard for this. My parents and family were very supportive and without them, I wouldn’t have achieve this.
Before I started the final round, I knew Sutijet and Chikkarangappa are very good players. I practiced with Sutijet a lot back home and we are very good friends. I knew he will play good today and he did play well. I guess I am lucky today.
I was a little bit excited heading into the last hole because Sutijet birdied 17 and I only had a one shot lead. I was a little nervous but I just try my best. When I hit my tee shot into the rough, I thought I should just hit it closer to the pin first and I managed to do that.
I think my putting was what helped me to win this week. My short game was great the whole week.
I felt the pressure heading into the last five holes. I knew Sutijet was going to play good. My short game was very good today. Today was probably the best of the week. I guess that is what helped me win this week. I am very happy right now. I am lost for words.
Sutijet Kooratanapisan (Tha) – Final Round 66 (-5), Total 265 (-19)

I think I put up a good fight today. I did my best but Thitphun was just so good with his short game. This is my best finish on the Asian Tour. I guess it’s not too bad a start for my first tournament of the season!
I think I had a chance honestly. I thought I must birdie the last hole to maybe force a playoff but I made a wrong choice of clubs off the tee. I was being aggressive. I hit driver on the last but I have been using the two-iron for the last few days. I hit it 80 yards from the pin and made bogey there. I was not really nervous actually. I had a solid round today.
This is my lowest 72-hole score on the Asian Tour. I am very pleased with how I played this week. This will give me a lot of confidence in my game.
Shubhankar Sharma (Ind) – Final Round 65 (-6), Total 270 (-14)
I started very well. I birdied the first two holes. That made a lot of difference. I was able to ride on my momentum from there. That got my round going. I made crucial par saves on third and fourth as well. I holed some good putts from eight and 10 feet.

I missed some opportunities for birdies out there but it’s alright. I think I played really well, especially on my back nine. All in all, I am very happy. I wasn’t in the mix so I didn’t think I had a chance. I just thought to myself that I should just play my best. I used ball no. 6 today and managed to shoot six-under. I am very pleased. I have shot six-under with that ball before so my aim was to shoot six-under today.
On the 18, I knew I had to make a birdie. I hit it in from two-three feet. I am very happy because I made a birdie under pressure on the last. I putted really well today. Putting was the key for me. This is my best finish on the Asian Tour.

This is my best finish on the Asian Tour. I am very happy but I thought I could have done better than a 68 today. I didn’t hit my driver good but I got lucky because I had a good angle to the green. I made easy bogeys today. Overall, it was a good week for me. I am pleased to secure another top-10 finish on the Asian Tour.
Shakhawat Sohel (Ban) – Final Round 68 (-3), Total 273 (-11)
I was feeling much better today. My game felt better. I had a good night sleep yesterday and I played the way I wanted to play today. My ball striking and greens in regulations were good. I am happy with how I played. The focus was much better.
I tried to keep to my momentum out there and I tried to keep the pressure off myself. I didn’t think too much about the result. I just enjoyed myself out there. This is the second time I finished as the top Bangladeshi in this event. I am very happy. I want to thank all my friends and family who came to support me out there today. They were a great motivation for me.
