Asian Tour Stars Shine in Japan

July 1: Japan’s Tetsuji Hiratsuka and Daisuke Kataoka displayed great form by enjoying top-10 finishes at the Gateway To The Open Mizuno Open on Sunday.
Hiratsuka, a four-time Asian Tour winner, finished tied fourth after signing for a 11-under-par 277, while highly-rated Kataoka, finished tied-sixth on 278 total.
The 24-year-old is enjoying a rich vein of form following two third place finishes at the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters and Queen’s Cup.
Meanwhile Asian Tour member Kim Hyung-sung of Korea, who won the 2013 PGA Championship Nissin Cup noodles Cup earlier in May, took a share of 19th  place with five other players on 282.
The 33-year-old will be heading to Muirfield for the Open Championship along with compatriot and former Asian Tour member Kim Kyung-tae.
