I’m really looking forward to the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters. The Royale Jakarta Golf Club is a course that I’ve done well on. Jakarta is a great city and this is my 200th Asian Tour event so I hope to put myself in the mix.
The Asian Tour has been a huge stepping stone in my career. I was teaching golf before I joined the Asian Tour. I hit some good fortune way back in 2003 and 10 years later I’m up to 200 events.
The Asian tour has helped me play in some Majors and global events. The Asian Tour has been significant for me.
My highlight will probably be in Macau in 2003 (he lost in a play-off to Colin Montgomerie). That was obviously the highlight but I’ve had some other great results since then. Obviously playing in the US and British Open are standouts as well.
I’ll be wearing a watch to support a charity foundation for cancer. It comes in a variety of colours. It is an organisation called Quality Time. These watches are being put on the market and all proceeds go to the Singapore Cancer Foundation. We hope that it will turn it into a global charity foundation.
It was set-up by a friend of mine and I thought I can support it.
The website will be up very shortly. You can also check out their Facebook (Quality-Time) page. They are in various stores around Singapore.
I saw my friends wearing the watches and my friends told me where I can buy it to support the foundation. The thought then came to me that I could give these guys more exposure if I became their ambassador and wear their watches.
