Barr secures card for PGA Tour China Series

March 21: Scott Barr of Australia earned a Tour card for the PGA Tour China Series after shooting an even-par 72 in the second qualifying event on Friday.
Barr, an Asian Tour member since 2004, totalled two-under-par 286 to finish seven shots from the winner Alexander Hawley at the Haikou Hainan Mission Hills Golf Club - Sandbelt Trails Course.
Barr was among 20 other players who earn playing rights for the 2014 PGA Tour China Series season.
Ryan McCarthy of Australia and Singapore’s Lam Zhiqun and Quincy Quek missed the grade by three shots.
Barr joins fellow Asian Tour members David Lutterus of Australia, Lee Sung of Korea, Anthony Kang of the United States and Thailand’s Panuphol Pittayarat, Chinnarat Phadungsil, Gunn Charoenkul, as well as Chinese Taipei's Hung Chien-yao, Yang Fei-hao, Chan Shih-chang and Lin Kuan-po, who all secured their cards on the PGA Tour China Series.
