Thitiphun CHUAYPRAKONG (THA) – Second Round 66 (-5), Total 131 (-11)
I managed to make a lot of up and down today. My tee shots were good too. I am very lucky. I played the way I did yesterday. The weather is good. I just stick to my game plan and it worked out. Everything went well for me.
I think my best birdie was on par-three sixth where I sank a 30-feet putt. That was the highlight for me today. I also chipped in for birdie on 11 from about 60-feet away with a 60 degree.
I am feeling very excited to be on top of the leaderboard now. I have played well for a long time but I still feel comfortable with my game. Hopefully I can stay this week till the end of the week!
This is my first Asian Tour event for the year. I will try and secure a good result this week to start the season well. I will just keep doing the same for the next two rounds. I will try not to think too much about my scores. I want to stick to my game plan and just do my best out there.
I knew I was in the lead but I try not to keep looking at the leaderboard, same for the next two rounds.

I kept trying out there today. I started from the 10 and made my first birdie of the day on 12 where I sank a 25-footer putt. That got my game going. I told myself to keep trying to make good shots like how I did yesterday. It didn’t happen which was disappointing but I thought overall, my game was still good. My putting was still good but I guess my iron-play wasn’t as sharp as yesterday.
I still have two more rounds to go. I just want to enjoy myself out there. I want to focus on my golf and not think about winning yet. Knowing that I’ve played well on this course before definitely gives me a bit of confidence. Hopefully I can remain consistent for the next two rounds.
Chikkarangappa S. (IND) – Second round 66 (-5), Total 134 (-8)
I was playing alright on the front nine. I made a birdie on fifth and that kind of give me some momentum going into the round. Unfortunately I stumbled with a bogey on 10 and I didn’t hit a good drive on 11. The game turned around for me on the 12 where I holed a 15-footer for birdie and then made a second straight birdie on 13 before chipping in for eagle from just off the green on 14.

I had a good run over there. That kind of turned everything around for the day. I had a good finish as I sank a 25-footer birdie putt on 18. It was a good back nine today. I didn’t play well on the back nine yesterday. I made sure I don’t make mistakes there again. I guess that helped me today.
I wasn’t hitting the ball well today I thought. Even though I had a good back nine but I was still not happy with how I am hitting the ball. My second shots and short game were good today. I am just going to stick to my game for the next two rounds. I have been in contention before and I just want to stick through it. It’s all about being patient, stay calm and relax. I just want to enjoy myself out there.
Shubhankar SHARMA (IND) – Second Round 68 (-3), Total 134 (-8)
I played better yesterday but today was good too. I got off to a good start with a birdie on 10 but made a double-bogey on 12 after hitting it into the bunker and duffed two shots from there. I just told myself to forget about the double-bogey and move on from there. I managed to recover with birdies on 14 and 18 to turn in 35.
I told myself to try and get as many birdies as I can. I hit the ball good but some putts lipped out today. Overall, I think I played really good these two days. I am very happy with where I stand right now. My driving and putting were pretty solid. I just need to work on my irons right now.
Driving is very important on this course. If you can hit it straight, you can give yourself more opportunities for birdies. I just want to continue playing the way I did for the first two rounds. Hopefully I can finish off well this week.
Gaganjeet BHULLAR (IND) – Second Round 67 (-4), Total 134 (-8)
I hit the ball better that I did yesterday. I gave myself a lot more opportunities. I putted better as well. Yesterday was a bogey-free round but today I made three bogeys. Overall, it was a pretty decent round. There is still 36 more holes to go. We will see how to goes.

I hope the next two rounds can be mind-free. I just want to keep doing what I have been doing and I should be ok. I will keep to my routine like how I have been doing for the last two rounds.
I holed two long putts today. I sank a 30-footer birdie putt on fifth. That was a tricky putt. I thought it would break from the right but luckily it grabbed the cup and fell into the hole. After my tee shot, I was stuck behind the tree and I had to play right side of the green. Luckily it bounced on the fringe of the green and bounced back. I was lucky enough to make birdie.
Scott VINCENT (ZIM) – Second Round 66 (-5), Total 134 (-8)
I made a few putts and hit a lot of fairways and greens today. I felt like I was swinging it better and hitting some nice shots. I had a good solid round. Putting was the key. I made a couple of 10 to 12 footer putts today which was nice. Sometimes, you made them on a good day. Sometimes you don’t. Today was just one of those days that I made.
Sutijet KOORATANAPISAN (THA) – Second Round 67 (-4), Total 134 (-8)
I putted better today compared to yesterday. I missed quite a couple of fairways but was still able to put the ball onto the greens. My second shots are very good today. I just want to continue playing like how I did yesterday and today. If I can keep hitting the fairways and the greens, I should be able to score well. That will give me a lot of chances for birdies. The weather’s pretty nice today although it was a bit cold.

My tee shots were not that good today but I managed to recover well. My wedge-play is very good so far this week. I was able to hit it straighter yesterday and I gave myself good chances for birdies after hitting the fairways. But today, I hit it into the water on a couple of holes. Putting was good today. My longest putt today is on 12 where I sank a 20-footer.
I didn’t had a very good season last year. I was struggling with my putting so I have been working on that before coming here. I’m glad the efforts’ paying off so far this week. Tee shots are the key to play well on this course. I will keep trying to put the ball on the fairways.
Rahil GANGJEE (IND) – Second Round 67 (-4), Total 136 (-6)
I made a few more putts today but I hit my driver bad. I made a 20-footer on eight and a 25-footer on 16. I played the par-threes pretty well today. I didn’t make any drastic mistakes today. I made some good up and downs. That really kept me going. My putting helped me today.
I was struggling with my putter yesterday. Coming here from Myanmar where the greens are different. It’s grainy over here. It took me awhile to get used to it. This is probably my fourth time playing here. I like this course. It makes you think a little bit.
There are trees in the middle of the fairways on some of the holes. It’s not like the other courses that you can hit it straight down the fairways. It makes you think a lot. It’s a pretty short course but demanding itself. I will just keep doing the same things. I should be able to hit it better tomorrow and come back with a better frame of mind.
Shakhawat SOHEL (BAN) – Second Round 66 (-6), Total 136 (-6)
Shakhawat Sohel of Bangladesh Shakhawat Sohel of Bangladesh
My ball striking was very good today. I hit lots of fairways and greens. I was feeling very confident with my ball striking. I missed a lot of putts from six to seven feet. If I had made them, today would easily be 10-under-par. But overall, it’s still a good round and I am very happy.
I just want to stay cool and positive and continue to believe in myself for the next two rounds. This is my home course. The greens are very small here. Hitting it onto the greens has got to be the priority.
Quincy Quek (SIN) – Second Round 68 (-3), Total 137(-5)
I started out a little bit slow. The air seems a little bit heavier in the morning and I was hitting it a bit shorter. I told myself to try and give it at least half club more. I was just trying to get the right yardage heading into the round. I was playing it one shot at a time.
You have to position your tee shots well in order to have a good angle to the green. Overall, I managed to scramble whenever I was out of position today. As soon as I had the chance, the birdie putts dropped. I was quite lucky.
You really have to place your shots strategically off the tee. You have to focus on sinking as many putts as you can. It’s moving day tomorrow so hopefully I can shoot another game in the sixties. The game has been fairly consistent so hopefully it can continue that way.
