June 27: India's Gaganjeet Bhullar got off to an encouraging start at the BMW International Open by opening with a five-under-par 67 to take a share of 10th place on Thursday.
The five-time Asian Tour winner and EurAsia Cup star mixed his card with five birdies, an eagle and two bogeys to trail Spain's Rafa Cabrera-Bello and England's Danny Willett by three shots.
Fellow compatriot Anirban Lahiri, who is playing on a sponsor's invite this week, is a further shot back in tied-19th after carding a 68.
Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and India's Jeev Milkha Singh will have to make up ground after they posted matching 71s to tie for 65th place.
Over in the United States, Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi of Korea, who was denied victory last week, kept up his chase for ninth win on the PGA Tour by signing for a 69 to take a share of eighth place at the Quicken Loans National where Australia's Greg Chalmers leads on 66.
