June 23: Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi of Korea was denied victory by Kevin Streelman of the United States who enjoyed a late flourish at the Travelers Championship on Sunday.
Choi, an eight-time PGA Tour winner, posted a three-under-par 67 for a 14-under-par 266 total which was matched by Sergio Garcia of Spain but they were both defeated by Streelman, who superbly closed with seven straight birdies.
Choi overcame a bogey on hole three with two birdies in each half but it was not enough for the decorated Korean to end his three-year title drought.
At the Irish Open, Jeev Milkha Singh of India,  a two-time Asian Tour number one, finished tied 38th after closing with a 71 in the event which was won by Mikko Ilonen of Finland.
Ends.
