May 12: Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi produced a stunning finish with a seven-under-par 65 to finish tied 13th at The Players Championship on Sunday.
Choi, who cut his professional teeth in Asia before going on to win eight times on the PGA Tour, carded rounds of 74, 70, 72 and 65 for a 281 total, six shots behind winner Martin Kaymer of Germany.
The Korean star's round was highlighted by a brilliant burst of six birdies in a row from the ninth hole. He had one more birdie and eagle earlier in the round as well as two bogeys as he recorded his sixth top-20 of the season, which includes a runner-up finish in the US.
Countryman Bae Sang-moon, who is a multiple winner on the Asian Tour, finished 68th on 292.
