Choi paired with Major champions at Open

Hoylake, July 14: Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi has been paired with Major champions Padraig Harrington and Charl Schwartzel for the opening two rounds at The Open Championship.
Korean star Choi, chasing a Major breakthrough, will tee off his first round at 9.15am on Thursday, followed by a 2.16pm start for his second round on Friday.
Current Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Anirban Lahiri of India has been paired with EurAsia Cup teammate Koumei Oda of Japan and American Ben Martin. The group will start at 7.09am on Thursday, followed by a 12.10pm tee time for the second round.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand, last year's number one, will have the company of Brooks Koepka of the United States and Italian Edoardo Molinari where they will play the opening round at 7.20am, followed by a 12.21pm second round tee time.
Three-time Asian Tour Order of Merit winner Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand, who is enjoying a hot run of form with one win and two top-fives in the past month, has been grouped with Spanish veteran star Miguel Angel Jimenez and American Bill Hass. They will start the their first round at 1.27pm, followed by a 8.26am start for the second round.
EurAsia Cup star Kim Hyung-sung will play alongside Marc Leishman of Australia and American Eric Compton (6.58am, 11.59am) while Filipino Juvic Pagunsan will play with Sweden's Kristoffer Broberg and Scotland's Paul McKechnie (10.43am, 3.44pm).
Asia's first Major champion Y.E. Yang will kick off his campaign with DA Points and Brendan Steele of the United States (11.59am, 6.58am) while honorary member Ernie Els will play with Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson (2.05pm, 9.04am).
Asian Tour members Chris Rodgers will tee off in his Major debut at 4.06pm and 11.05am respectively while Yoshinobu Tsukada of Japan will start at 11.05am adn 4.06pm.
