January 30: Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi of Korea moved to take a share of the lead after signing for a five-under-par 67 at the Farmers Insurance Open on Friday.
The Korean's two-day total of nine-under-par 135 saw him tied for the lead with American Gary Woodland at the PGA TOUR event.
"I've been hitting the ball very straight off the tee, and my iron play has been good. I've also been practising on  my putting during my week off.
"It may look easy out there but it's not. The pin positions were very hard and the greens are very firmer than normal. So to return with a nine-under,  I'm very happy," said Choi.
At the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, three-time Order of Merit champion, Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand added a 71 to rounds of 68 and 72 to take a share of 25th place while Prom Meesawat is a further shot back in equal 31st place on 212 total.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat posted a 72 to take tied-54th place that also includeD Australia's Andrew Dodt while 2014 Merit winner David Lipsky signed for a 76 for a share of 73rd place.
