August 15: Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat signed off from the Olympic Games with his best score of four-under-par 67 to finish in tied-fifth place together with Australia's Marcus Fraser on Sunday.
The 2013 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion mixed six birdies against two bogeys for a four-day total of eight-under-par 276 to end his week eight shots back of Great Britain's Justin Rose, who struck gold to become golf's newest Olympic champion after 112 years.
Fraser, who held the lead for the first two rounds, had a glimmer of hope when he turned in 35, But three bogeys and two birdies in his back-nine dashed all hopes of a podium finish for the current Asian Tour Order of Merit leader.
