Fraser blog: Let me into the party

St Andrews, Scotland, July 19: Asian Tour member Marcus Fraser of Australia played alongside compatriot Marc Leishman in the third round of The Open which could only commence on Sunday due to the multiple weather disruptions during the week.
While Leishman stormed ahead with a brilliant eight-under-par 64, Fraser did not fare too badly with a 64 of his own and is certainly hoping for the extended party to continue.
By Marcus Fraser.
I tried to keep up with Marc but am still pretty happy with a four-under which is always good at the Old Course.
I was sort of plodding along and trying to tag along and I managed to make four birdies in my last 10 holes.
I was excited for him (Marc) and tried to join in the party as well. It was good fun.
The weather’s was pretty benign for much of the day but towards the end, the winds picked up and there was some rain which made things tricky.
But I managed to get the score in.
I thought I’ve been playing well the last couple of weeks and it’s nice to see myself playing some steady golf again here.
I didn’t really feel like it’s the third round of a Major but I was glad I did well.
I always enjoy going over and play on the Asian Tour and I’ll probably be back for Hong Kong.
Ends.
