Gandranata Blog: Getting better

It’s great coming back to play in the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters. It’s always good to play at home.
This year, I just hope to play better than how I did last year. My goal right now is to make the cut. I will start setting more goals after I get into Saturday’s round and we’ll see what happens on Sunday. I really hope to see improvements from last year.
I hope to gain more experience and exposure from this prestigious tournament as well. It’s a great event to do so as there are many good players around. I feel honoured to play alongside some of the top players like Bernd Wiesberger, Thongchai Jaidee and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
These guys are who you would want to become one day. They set good examples for us and we can learn a lot from them. There is always something to learn from these guys which can help us in our game. The goal in golf is to get better every time you play.
It doesn’t matter how big the event is. Golf is golf. The competition is the same. You are playing against yourself and you just have to focus on playing shot by shot. I will discuss with my coach how to attack this course and how to play well here. I will stick to my plan and we will see how it goes.
Hopefully I can see some good results this week.
