Green blog: Patience is key!

The win (last week on the ADT) was big and it was good! It was a big jump for me. I was playing solid and I’ve always been close so thankfully I pulled it off last week.
I played solid last week, struggled a bit in the middle but overall I was comfortable, hitting the ball solid and I was able to take advantage of that.
At times it was frustrating but that’s golf, you can’t win every week. I understood that and I knew I had to stay patient and focus on every shot. I went slowly, I didn’t rush things. I practised and stayed focussed. I kept staying patient and that was the main thing for me. I’m glad it paid off.
I’ve been working a lot on my swing and it is currently in the B zone but it is slowly coming together.
I wasn’t looking at the Olympic rankings at all (at the start of the year) because I knew if I played solid then everything would take care of itself. I put my mind into golf and practised hard.
I didn’t really get distracted by anything. When I was home I played ping pong with my brother and went out with my friends. It felt like I was a kid again but when I’m on the course, I’m fully focussed.
I have to keep doing the same thing even though I have a chance at qualifying for the Olympics. I need to stay patient and keep working on my swing. I’m focussed this week at hitting fairways and try to make greens.
It is a really good course. This is my second time in Japan. I love the food here and that’s important. I’m hoping for a solid hitting week.
Ends.
