April 14: Gunn Charoenkul of Thailand enjoyed his best result on the Asian Tour this season when he finished tied sixth. He overcame a mental block which he suffered earlier in the year and hopes to continue this momentum in future Asian Tour events.

Everything in my round was pretty good. My iron shots and driving are getting sharper. Overall my round is still okay even though I had two three putts. This golf course is very challenging and I’m happy with how I finished.
I lost track of my goal in my first five tournaments. My thoughts were going in the wrong direction because I was afraid to miss cuts instead of trying to win tournaments. Every time you play in a tournament, you should have that mentality to win. That’s the goal for everyone.
I was expecting myself to play as good as last year. I had a really good year because everything went as planned. I think I have to start enjoying the game again.
I played well today. I hit it really good off the tees and that’s the key to playing well here. The course is not easy and you cannot miss the fairways. I’ll take my result today.
This is my second time in the Philippines. I came here a long time ago when I was playing junior golf as an 11-year-old. It is great to be back and even better to be playing good.
