Hend leads Asian Tour cast #BridgestoneInv

Ohio, United States, August 2: Reigning Order of Merit champion Scott Hend will spearhead the Asian Tour challenge when he makes his debut appearance at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational starting Thursday.

The 43-year-old Australian, a nine-time winner on the Asian Tour, earned his spot in the year’s third WGC event after he won the Order of Merit last season. He will tee off for his second WGC event this season at the Firestone Country Club located in Akron, Ohio in the United States.
Hend, who finished tied-54th at The Open a fortnight ago, will feature in the US$9.25 million event alongside his compatriot Sam Brazel, Thai star Thongchai Jaidee, South African Shaun Norris and young Korean talent Jeunghun Wang, who remains the record youngest player to win back to back titles on the European Tour.
Hend will tee off from the first hole at 7.50am local time with Emiliano Grillo of Argentina and American Brian Harman while Thongchai is slated to start at 9.20am from the 10th alongside Marc Leishman of Australia and Kevin Chappell of the United States.
