Manila, November 22: Read what American Berry Henson has to say following an impressive eight-under-par 64 in the penultimate round of the Resorts World Manila Masters presented by 918.com on Saturday.

I just played some solid golf today. Like finally! It’s been a long year for me. I’m working with a new coach, Shane Gillespie, and we made a few changes about a month and a half ago. I’m starting to see those changes and I’ve hit the ball the best that I have hit it all year today. I made some more adjustments at the range today, moved my hands a little bit forward and I just had complete control of the golf ball today. I haven’t had that most of the year.
It was pretty calm this morning. We didn’t get much wind but the course is playing short if you’re hitting it long. If you’re hitting well and putting good and you can keep hitting the fairways, you will obviously be able to score out there.
I love this golf course. I honestly felt a low round coming after my round yesterday. I still feel like I haven’t shot my lowest round out here yet. I will take 64 but I feel like I can go lower. It’s going to take a toll on the wind tomorrow so I got to stay aggressive. I feel comfortable off the tee and my putting is good. I think I got a good chance if I can continue to do so tomorrow.
We don’t normally get to play too many firm and fast golf course here in Asia. The greens are very firm and fast here. The par-fives are very reachable for me too. I don’t have many long clubs in on the other holes. It feels like home to me. It feels like I’m playing back home in the desert and the conditions suits my game. I’ve always played well in the Philippines. It’s a good golf course. It just sets up great for me.
The season has been rough. I’ve had a learning season this year. I’ve played some new courses in Europe as well. I struggled a bit out here in Asia where I haven’t played well. It’s a learning experience for me. I feel like I may not be playing my best round and it’s good enough to win? So if I can get a win in the next two weeks, I will be able to finish the year off well.
I didn’t know I was close to tying the course record out there, until I came to the last hole. I missed some really short putts on 17th and 10th. I wasn’t thinking about that much. I was just trying to make ten birdies today although I came up a little bit short. I am very pleased with the way I played today. I took a lot of confidence off this round.
