Terry Pilkadaris (Aus) - Second Round 64 (-8), Total 131 (-13)
How exciting was that?
It was good. I felt really good out there and I kept going at flags. Everything was feeling good and I kept going at them.
Nice to keep having birdie after birdie?
I kept giving myself chances and it was nice to take advantage of them. You got to roll with it and don’t try to step out of the way and trip on your own feet. Just keep it simple.
You are making this course look easy.
You got to keep it straight. If you are on the fairway then you can give yourself chances. That’s what you need to do out here.

How many times have you played this golf course and how does the experience help?
I’ve played about 40 rounds at least. We play in different times of the year here so the course plays differently every time we are here but it is just a matter of adapting.
Thoughts on the bogey on the last?
I just hit a fade off the tee and pulled it a little bit. It caught the branches and kicked left. I had to take medicine and chipped out. I hit a good pitch shot on the last but it came up just a fraction short. I’m not complaining too much.
You have to be wary of the tee shots here?
Yes, there are thorny bushes here and you might come out with a ripped shirt and pants and look like you just got out of a fight. You got to be pretty cautious when go into the bushes here.
Is Daniel Im your roommate this week?
Yes he is. When I got back to the room last night, he was sleeping. I think the jetlag is getting him now. We have spoken too much.
Talk about your injury?
I had a trapped intercostal nerve in my back. I was moving furniture at Christmas time and hurt my back. That’s taken quite a while to recover. It was a rookie mistake and I’m no rookie so I should be shot for that one! I’ve been working with a chiropractor and physiotherapist so that helps.

I am playing really well and I have played here at the Delhi Golf Club many times, so I know how to play on this course. On two holes (11th and 14th), I made very good saves. When I was hitting, I thought I would make birdies, but then I had to a bit of work to get the birdies. The birdie on the 11th was about 15 feet and the one of the 14th was about 14-feet.
On the 11th the ball went to the left, but there was some space for swing. So I had to shorten the swing, but I managed to find the green. Also on the 17th, I had to putt from the edge of the green to hold par. I hit a good shot, but the tailwind carried the ball over the green. So I had to make an up and down.
My putting was pretty safe, no doubt. Hitting was also not bad, but whenever I got into a sticky situation, my putting saw me through.

I just focused on my game. Before the start I saw that Terry Pilkadaris has shot a really low score, but I pushed all that out of my mind and stayed focused on my game. It’s not an easy thing to do, but you can’t let these things to play on your mind.
For the next two days, I would like to play exactly the way I have done so far. The conditions are not easy. Having said that, Terry’s card of 13 under is a really very good score.
Nacho Elvira (Esp) - Second Round 68 (-4), Total 134 (-10)
I’m pretty happy. I managed to stick to my routine throughout the round. I didn’t hit it as well as I did in the first round but I’m happy.
It is always good to birdie the first and get the round going. On this course, you need to be patient. You don’t need to be aggressive but you need to show some respect. That’s what I tried to do today.
The ball was flying as much as yesterday but the weather was nice. The wind wasn’t blowing.
I saw that leaderboard went up pretty quick. You got to be patient and play every hole like how you play on the practice round. We will see. There is still a couple days more to go and I’ll try to do as good as I can.

I’m putting really good but if I can find more greens then I think I can do well. Normally people struggle with the tee shots but I’m hitting my driver long and straight. I’m just a little confused with my irons. That’s my problem right now. I need some practice to control my distance.
I hit some drivers here. I’m hitting the tee shots good but I need to find the greens. I’ve been playing okay lately. My game is getting better and better.
Anirban Lahiri (Ind) - Second Round 71 (-1), Total 139 (-4)
I have left myself a lot of work on the weekend. I had a very disappointing back nine today. I think, I got myself in a decent position after a bad start, but couldn’t make the putts. Even when I hit a good putt, it didn’t go in. It was a tough back nine. Hopefully, I’ll have a little more luck on my side over the weekend.
I think there was a bit of frustration today because I was managing to do enough wrongs not to make birdies.
Tomorrow, I have to hit it better. Today, I didn’t hit my iron good and played the par fives poorly. Yesterday, I shot four under on the par fives, but today I played even. I hit every single fairway on every single par five, so that’s terrible. You have to take advantage there, but I didn’t do that. I have to come back tomorrow and get my birdies going.

It means a lot to play at the Hero Indian Open. It is like a fifth Major for us and it is more special because we play on our home ground. I have a chance now so let’s see.
Lee Slattery (Eng) - Second Round 67 (-5), Total 146 (+2)
Nice albatross (hole 8, par 5, 518 yards)?
I hit a perfect three wood off the tees down to the right side and that opened up the green nicely. I had a great yardage. I had 261 yards into the wind and hit a really nice three wood. It never really left the pin but I didn’t realised it had gone in until I started walking. The ball was resting against the pin but it eventually dropped. It is a nice feeling.
A bit disappointed to miss the weekend?
I take a lot of confidence of this round. I played great from tee to green which I struggled yesterday. I haven’t putted very well and it has been hard to adjust from last week. Moving forward I have confidence in my long game but just need to work on the weak stuff.
