Siddikur (Ban) – Second Round 66 (-6), Total 132 (-12)
My game was excellent. I’m very happy because of my hitting and short game. I made 12 feet for eagle on the first hole. I had more confidence after the eagle. I made another nice birdie on the last hole from 20 feet.
I played aggressively again and I’m really enjoying this new style of play. I didn’t do anything exceptional in my game but I’m just enjoying the way I’m playing now.
Well, it can happen (talking about his runner-up results at the Delhi Golf Club). But with the way I’m playing, I think it is time to win.  I won’t do anything special in the last two days. I will continue to play aggressively.
I’ve played on this course since I was an amateur. This is like my home course! I have really good memories on this golf course.
Chapchai Nirat (Tha) – Second Round 68 (-4), Total 134 (-10)
I came into today’s round with the goal of keeping the ball on the fairway. The pin positions were difficult so I tried to make par on the difficult holes. But when the birdie opportunities came, I was confident that I could take it. I’m feeling very confident with my putting, especially since changing to the belly putter in September.
When I was using my old putter, I tend to open or close the putter face when I putt. That never happens with the belly putter. My scores have certainly improved since I changed putter.
Somehow, my body felt uncomfortable in the morning. But during the fog delay (1 hour 30 minutes), I took time to calm myself down. Then I felt better. So the delay was good for me.
Angelo Que (Phi) – Second Round 68 (-4), Total 137 (-7)
I arrived on Thursday morning. I didn’t want to come too early. I’m hitting the ball pretty good. Although I still missed some putts but I can’t complain because it is better than not making putts at all.
I put in two three woods this week. One is slightly longer than the other but straighter. I think it works out pretty well. My irons are pretty solid.
I’ve sort of struggled a bit in the past few events, mostly with my putting. I’ve been working on that. I don’t want to change putters. I think it is just my eyes deceiving me. I just need to trust my line and my stroke.
I’ve been playing here (Delhi Golf Club) since 2003. We know how to play this golf course now. The course is in great shape. If you hit it on the fairway, then you can pretty much attack the pins.
The Indian Open has become a prestigious event. A lot of people come here and play and the set-up is nice.
Anirban Lahiri (Ind) – Second Round 67 (-5), Total 138 (-6)
I played really good early on. I was happy to get some rhythm going and finding the fairways early in the round. I think the momentum came when I birdied 17 and 18, both putts outside from 10 feet.
That kind of got me focussed. I played well on my back nine but didn’t take advantage of the par fives. I’m a bit disappointed with that.
The one on 18 was the longest putt for me (20 feet). This is golf. I’ve been fortunate that my career graph has gone upwards. My endeavours are obviously to come out and play the best golf that I can play. I kept the momentum going and made a couple of putts. That always helps.
There are two more days to go and I know how this golf course is going to behave and get tighter as the tournament progress. I’m really looking forward to it.
Pariya Junhasavasdikul (Tha) – Second Round 72 (even par), Total 138 (-6)2013 Selangor Masters - Round Four
I didn’t hit the ball as close as yesterday. The pins were tougher than yesterday and I didn’t take advantage of the par fives. At least I didn’t give any shots back. Even par is still okay and we have two more days to go.
I tried not to get my expectations up. I couldn’t help but notice that some of my approach shots were not as close as yesterday. You got to put that aside and play one shot at a time but that’s the hardest thing to do in golf.
Mardan Mamat (Sin) – Second Round 73 (+1), Total 139 (-5)
I couldn’t get my momentum going. My swing felt very stiff this morning so I just wanted to hang in there and get away from trouble. The weather suspension (1 hour 30 minutes) was very disappointing. I got up at 4.30am because my initial tee off was at 7am. The wait was very frustrating and it spoilt the momentum a little bit. Overall, I’m still okay with my round.
Hopefully I can play well again during the weekend. I’m going to practice my rescue and three iron and prepare myself for the last two days. I wasn’t hitting the ball very good. The closest I hit to the hole was on 16 for a 10 feet birdie.
I have to shoot at least a 66 or 65 during the weekend to give myself a better chance. Hopefully I can do that on Saturday or Sunday.
