Siddikur (Ban) – Final Round 75 (+3), Total 274 (-14)
I was two-under after a couple of holes so I was confident that I could win but somehow I stumbled but I still had the confidence. This is the best week of my life.
Sometimes it is good to watch the leaderboard to know where I was. Before I made my putt on 17, I saw the leaderboard and a few of us were tied. It was then I knew I had to sink that putt. That was my winning putt and the turning point.
I was a bit too aggressive on the 15th hole and that was my mistake. At that point I thought everyone was very close to me so I used my rescue but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to be.
I didn’t play safe at all this week. It will help me for my future. After winning Brunei in (2010) I was really hungry to win more tournaments but it didn’t happen. However, I still remained confident and I told myself that a big victory is coming my way. That big victory happened today.
I think golf is getting bigger in Bangladesh. I have a lot of fans on Facebook and I received a lot of messages from my fans. I think my win will really impact golf in Bangladesh and in Asia.
I asked the referee what was the score on the 18th hole and he told me that I’m in the lead. That’s when I knew I needed to make par to win the tournament.
I didn’t put any pressure on myself because I enjoyed the way I’ve been playing this week. Of course I had to struggle on the last day but that was okay.
Since Brunei, I’ve always played badly on the last day. I also played badly today but thankfully I still managed to win.
I had a four-shot lead but on this golf course, I knew that Anirban (Lahiri) and S.S.P. Chowrasia will not play it safe. They could have shot a low score. In that case, I didn’t play safe and continued playing aggressively.
It was a good experience to play at the Delhi Golf Club. If I can play like how I did this week, then it will help me a lot at the World Cup of Golf.
Yes, that’s definitely my goal which is to qualify for the EurAsia Cup. I think it is going to be an exciting event. I hope I will be able to play. It looks like I’m in a good position to qualify.
S.S.P. Chowrasia (Ind) – Final Round 72 (Even par), Total 275 (-13)
I was not consistent. I was not playing good, I had made a lot of small mistakes. I had problems reading the lines.  But the last three days I have putted well. I needed have a four-feet putt for the 18th hole but it didn’t happen. May be next time.
It was like on-off, on-off. My birdies and bogeys were alternating and I ended with an even par. Then that last putt, which was four foot, maybe five or six. I just read the line wrong and missed out. Still, that’s the way golf goes.
My congratulations to Siddikur. He is a very good friend. On the course when we were playing together, we were speaking in Bengali. Then at the Prize Distribution, Anirban, Siddik and myself were again speaking in Bengali. We often do that.
On the other days I had been putting well, but today that touch was missing. I made a couple of errors like on 13th and 15th, but again on a final day not everything can be controlled.
Anirban Lahiri (Ind) – Final Round 70 (-2), total 275 (-13)
It was a lot like yesterday (third round) – lot of good golf shots followed by lot of careless shots. I think I had a lot of birdies but I dropped a lot of shots, too. Like two doubles yesterday. Today I dropped three. On the back, I was one-over over the last eight holes. My caddie was telling, it has never happened to me on the back nine on last day.
I am very proud of my Hero Indian Open record. I was third some time back and last year I was fifth and now second. On the Asian Tour I have won once and this is my third second place this year. I have been putting myself in contention and giving myself a chance. So, I must be doing something right.

Gaganjeet and I have done well. And on the Asian Tour, there are the likes of Angelo Que, Pariya and some others who have done well. In India we looked up to Jeev, Jyoti and Arjun and in Asia, there is Thaworn, Thongchai and some others as Asian legends.
Angelo Que (Phi) – Final Round 72 (even par), Total 276 (-12)
I can’t complain. I came here with no practice round. I had a chance today but I blew it on 16 and 18. I missed the fairway on 16 and 18. If it is not meant for you then it is not meant for you. I tried my best and I’m happy with the way I played. I didn’t have any penalty shots here and my worst score was a bogey. That’s a good thing at Delhi Golf Club. I might have a chance to get into the top-10 on the Order of Merit. Hopefully I can keep this form up until the end of the year.
I was watching the leaderboard to know where I am. The pins are tough and it is difficult to make birdies out there. I was trying to make pars and if I had a chance then I would sink birdie. I can’t complain.
I was talking to my wife a few days ago and they are safe. Knowing that they are safe really helped me a lot this week because I could play without any worries
I have pretty good confidence although next week will be an entirely different golf course. You don’t hit normal shots at DGC. You just hit shots and try to get it on the green. Next week is a different golf course. If you hit it well then you can score.
Baek Seuk-hyun (Kor) – Final Round 68 (-4), Total 276 (-12)
I started really bad here but I’m proud with how I recovered. I didn’t even look at the scoreboard because I was playing badly and I didn’t want to put pressure on myself. I hit good shots on the back nine and I only felt pressure on the last because I knew I needed to make that long birdie putt. It was too far and I missed. I’m really happy with this score. I’m getting nearer and nearer to a first Asian Tour win but I still can’t grab hold of it.
Last two weeks I played really bad at the CIMB Classic and WGC-HSBC Champions. After those two events, I realised that my game is not good enough. That inspired me to work harder so it is good to be back on the Asian Tour and playing good again. It is a really good experience and I’m happy with it.
I didn’t work hard in golf previously. But I moved to my old coach since last year and I’ve been playing good. My coach (Chonrat Sasiwong aka Gig) forced me to go to the gym in the morning so I have to sleep early every night. My coach said that if I make another mistake, then he won’t be my coach anymore. We fought previously because I didn’t concentrate on golf.
I want to beat myself so I can beat other people. I change my mind when I play golf now. You cannot be aggressive all the time. So now I plan my game and try to be smarter. I really calm down a lot now. I used to be a very aggressive player last time.
