Holman moves to tied-eighth in Scotland

Scotland, October 3: Asian Tour member Nathan Holman of Australia posted a second straight four-under-par 68 to lie three shots off the lead in tied-eighth position at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Friday.
The 24-year-old Australian marked his card with one eagle and four birdies against two bogeys to move within striking distance of co-leaders Englishmen Jimmy Mullen and Anthony Wall with an eight-under-par 136 total at the Kingsbarns Golf Links.
Thai star Kiradech Aphibarnrat, who opened with a 75 at Carnoustie, propelled to tied-22nd position after returning with a flawless round of 63 highlighted by nine birdies, including five straight birdies from the third hole.
Asian Tour honorary member Ernie Els of South Africa and India’s Jyoti Randhawa were among those bunched in tied-33rd place on 139 following rounds of 67 and 69 respectively while Korea’s Y.E. Yang signed for a 68 to settle a further shot back in tied-39th.
Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg, who claimed his maiden European Tour title last month, posted a 71 to sit in tie-102nd place alongside 15 other players which include Richard T. Lee of Canada and Steve Lewton of England.
