Lin Wen-tang (Tpe) - Third Round 68 (-3), Total 200 (-13)
I played with the star players (Sergio Garcia and Charlie Wi) so I felt a bit nervous and scared. I bogeyed number two and on number four, I had a double bogey because of a poor chip. My younger brother, who is my caddy, told me to calm down and I recovered nicely.
After that I didn’t hit a single bogey and on the 17th hole I had a 25-feet birdie. I was like ‘wow, I’m so lucky’. After being three over, I said, let’s do this. No time to be scared anymore.
Sergio hits the ball so long and he is such a nice guy. Every time I make a birdie, he will tell me ‘good birdie Lin’. I haven’t won in two years but my wife told me not to think ahead. I just want to enjoy the final round. If the win comes then good, if not, I’ll try again next time.

I was bruised by one back drive. On six, I hit it exactly where I wanted but the wind was coming in on the right and I hit a cut but the ball didn’t move. The one on 18 wasn’t a good drive. I just needed to hit it up in the air and even if I hit it a little left, I had a chance to carry everything but I pulled it a bit. It was a nice to make a good five. Overall I felt like I played quite well other than those two holes. Made some good putts on the back nine, missed some short ones for birdies but I guess even with those hiccups, I still have a chance.
When you’re putting with these kind of winds, it’s difficult. The putt on 16 and 10, those were good putts but unfortunately, the wind moved it out of the hole. The one on 12 wasn’t a good putt. When it’s blowing this hard, you have to take into account the break and then also the wind and sometimes, you hit a right edge putt and it’s difficult to trust that because of the wind. Hopefully I’ll be able to do better tomorrow.
I felt fine, felt good all day. That’s why we work hard and try to prepare. I won’t say the drive on 18 was fatigue. I just didn’t put a good enough swing on it and it cost me.  I’m right there. I need to play well tomorrow if it’s windy like today, it’ll be hard. You have to be patient and hopefully hit a lot of good shots. And see if we can do it.
Shaun Norris (Rsa) – Third Round 65 (-6), Total 202 (-11)
I was putting very well and I kept giving myself birdie chances. You definitely need a lot of imagination to try and play in the wind. You need to think your way around the course but I enjoy courses that are tricky. It is like playing a game of chess.
I’ve been doing everything well and I’ve been enjoying the game so much in the last couple of months. I’m going to be a little bit sad about giving up on the long putter. I never really had problems where I couldn’t hole a putt. I just reverted to the long putter to make it easier. My mum convinced me to try and I loved it. It is going to be sad to part with it but I’m looking forward to next year.
My fiancée (Candice Venter) is on my bag this week. I decided to bring her just to see the world with me. She hasn’t travelled that much. She is a qualified chef and looking forward to Thailand next week just to try the dishes.

Happy, play under par, I’m happy. Today is the Thai King’s birthday. So I’m happy. Every hole was good, only hole number two. Hit it into the hazard. Yesterday was hole number four. It’s okay, finished strong. Condition every day is the same. It’s a problem. Have my name on the leaderboard now, it’s okay. Finish four rounds and if my name on the leaderboard, it will be good. This week, I’m hitting every club good, driver, three wood, all good. Putting sometimes is good, sometimes not good. The wind makes it hard. The wind moves the ball as well. Three birdies on back nine, holed two long putts and another putt was short putt.
Himmat Rai (Ind) – Third Round 68 (-3), Total 203 (-10)
I played really good and to my strategy. It is about sticking to the routing and doing it over and over again. It was good how I bounced back from the double bogey. During the round, I didn’t even remember I made a double bogey. For the whole day, I was trying to hit it one shot at a time.
(Double bogey) I had a nice lie and didn’t have a good chip. From there the chip was even harder because it was uphill.  A win is what we are all here for. For me it is strictly about playing one shot at a time and enjoying the moment. I’m happy with the way I’m playing at the moment.
I regrouped well from the double bogey and didn’t feel down. That’s something I can learn from this round and use it in future rounds. I played earlier in the year on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) in a typhoon in Taipei. That really helped me get used to play in these conditions.
Note: He has found all the fairways in regulation play for three days.
Koh Deng Shan (Sin) – Third Round 69 (-2), Total 207 (-6)
The wind was not so strong but it was still difficult. I missed a few birdie chances on the back nine but I’m still happy with the result. I made a nice par (25 feet putt) on the last hole. I hit my tee shot into the sand dunes, chipped out and got up-and-down from 150 metres.
I’ve been calm the last three days and I like playing on this golf course. My back still hurts because I had to wake up early to finish my second round. I saw the physiotherapist but my back is still stiff. Any score under-par is good tomorrow.
