In the spotlight: Jazz Janewattananond

July 16: Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond has often crave the attention on the golf course. From his loud and often dizzying colours of his golfing apparel to his performances on the course, the young Thai has been a revelation since he burst into the scene as the youngest ever player to make the halfway cut at the 2010 Asian Tour International in Bangkok at the age of 14 years and 71 days.
This week, we put Jazz in the spotlight and look at his report card for the season so far.
His season so far: The first half of the season is something Jazz can be proud of. After all, the 18-year-old has not missed a single cut in all seven starts and has enjoyed two top-10s at the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters and ICTSI Philippine Open. All of these came through despite battling through the effects of fatigue.
What can we expect from Jazz: A well-deserved rest during the summer break should prove to be the perfect tonic for Jazz as he seeks to sing the right tune and chase his maiden breakthrough on the region’s premier Tour when the season resumes. Expect the young Thai to come back with all guns blazing when the season resumes with the Omega European Masters in September.
