Miaoli, Chinese Taipei, April 27: India’s Shiv Kapur and Gavin Green of Malaysia produced identical two-under-par 70s in testing conditions in the on-going second round of the Yeangder Heritage on Friday.
Kapur and Green teed off in the wind-swept morning to finish on three-under-par 141 at the US300,000 Asian Tour event while overnight leader Jake Higginbottom will head off in the calmer afternoon conditions.
Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines was a further shot back following a 70 while Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand, Himmat Rai of India and Rory Hie of Indonesia totalled 143s at the National Golf Country Club.
It was a mixed round for Kapur, who is searching for a second Asian Tour victory, as he traded five birdies against three bogeys to safely make the weekend rounds after missing the cut in his last three events.
Green, ranked fifth on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, had to dig deep in his round which was highlighted by a superb eagle three on the 13th hole.
