Kapur rises above the rest in Scotland

July 14: India’s Shiv Kapur emerged as the highest-ranked Asian after he carded a two-under-par 69 to take a share of 27th place at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open on Sunday.
The Indian, a one-time Asian Tour winner, carded rounds of 69, 75, 68 and 69 for a four-day total of three-under-par 281 at Royal Aberdeen while Asian Tour honorary member Ernie Els of South Africa closed with his week’s best round of 66 for a share of 41st place.
Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee signed off with a 69 to finish tied 48th  while India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jeev Milkha Singh close with a 68 and 77 respectively to take tied-70th and 77 place at the European Tour event which was won by England’s Justin Rose.
