Karlberg and Kiradech have solid starts in Ireland

May 29: Rikard Karlberg of Sweden and Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand opened their campaigns at the Irish Open with a 70 and 71 respectively on Thursday.
Karlberg, a two-time Asian Tour winner, traded six birdies against five bogeys to lie in tied seventh place, three shots back from the leaders Padraig Harrington and Maximilian Kieffer of Germany.
Kiradech, the 2013 Asian Tour number one, was placed tied 14th after day one while Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand was a further two shots back.
Current Order of Merit leader Anirban Lahiri, Andrew Dodt of Australia, Jbe Kruger of South Africa and Scott Hend of Australia posted matching 73s to be bunched up in tied 46th position.
