Karlberg ends German campaign in fifth place

June 26:  Sweden’s Rikard Karlberg, a two-time Asian Tour winner, signed off with a final round six-under-par 66 to finish in outright fifth place at the BMW International Open on Sunday.
The Swede, who was also voted as the Asian Tour Rookie of the Year in  2010, marked his card with six birdies, one eagle and two bogeys for a four-day total of 14-under-par 274 which saw him finish three shots back of Argentinean champion Andres Romero at the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried.
Current Order of Merit leader David Lipsky returned with a 70 to share 10th place with Major winner Henrik Stenson while Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnra closed with a 69 to take equal 12th place on 278.
At the Travelors Championship in the United States, India’s Anirban Lahiri carded a 67 to finish tied for 17th at the PGA Tour event which was won by former world number one Jordan Spieth of the United States.
