Karlberg enjoys top-10 finish in Ireland

May 23: Asian Tour member Rikard Karlberg enjoyed a top-10 finish at the DDF Irish Open on Sunday, closing with a fine six-under-par 66 at the K Club.
The Swede, who is a double Asian Tour winner, ended his week on a strong note by firing seven birdies against a lone bogey in the European Tour event. It was also his second top-10 in Europe this year.
China’s Li Hao-tong came in tied 18th on 285 after closing with a 70 while EurAsia Cup members Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand and Wu Ashun of China shared 31st position on 288.
The Irish Open was won by tournament host Rory McIlroy with his winning aggregate of 12-under-par 276.
In the Kansai Open, Asian Tour member Masahiro Kawamura finished tied fourth, two shots behind winner Byungmin Cho of Korea. Kawamura carded rounds of 69, 69, 70 and 72.
Filipino Angelo Que finished tied 18th after closing with a 66.
