June 27: Reigning Asian Tour Order of Merit winner Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand hopes to qualify for the PGA Championship through the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) in August, according to Bangkok Post.
Kiradech, who is currently ranked 93rd in the world, must stay inside the top-100 by July 21st  to qualify for the year’s fourth and final Major tournament played at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky from August 7 to 10.
The big-hitting Thai hopes to maintain or improve his world rankings when he takes part in the France Open next week followed by the Scottish Open and The Open Championship from July 17 to 20. All three tournaments will be played on links courses.
“It is always difficult to play at a links course where the wind is a big factor,’’ the 24-year-old told Bangkok Post.
