Compatriot Thongchai Jaidee, a 13-time winner on the region’s premier Tour, enjoyed an encouraging start to his Scottish campaign when he took a share of third place with Kiradech after the opening round.
The three-time Asian Tour Order of Merit winner, however could not maintain his charge and closed with a disappointing 76 to finish in 66th place.
Over at the John Deere Classic in the United States, Asian Tour honorary members, K.J. Choi and Y.E. Yang of Korea finished tied 33rd and 53rd respectively following rounds of 68 and 69.
