August 15: Anirban Lahiri continued his fine form at the PGA Championship on Friday, standing at four-under for the year's final Major through 13 holes of his second round at Whistling Straits when play was suspended due to inclement weather.
The Indian star, who currently leads the Asian Tour's Order of Merit, sank three birdies on the 11th, 16th and third holes while dropping a shot on 17 to share 15th place and five shots behind leaders Jason Day and Matt Jones.
Former PGA Champion Y.E. Yang was charging up the leaderboard on Friday before dropping three shots over his closing two holes for a 72, which left him on 142 in tied 28th spot.
Australian Cameron Smith, last year's rookie of the year in Asia, shot  a fine 68 to move up alongside Yang and honorary member Ernie Els who will return on Saturday morning to finish up his three remaining holes.
Big-hitting Thai star Kiradech Aphibarnrat, who won a matchplay event in Europe two weeks ago, shot a second straight 72 with four birdies against as many bogeys to safely make it into the weekend rounds while compatriot Thongchai Jaidee looks set to miss the cut where he is eight over for the tournament with two holes to complete in his second round.
