Liang enjoys top-five finish in Russia

July 29: Liang Wen-chong of China secured a tied fifth finish at the M2M Russian Open courtesy of a superb final round six-under-par 66 on Sunday.
Liang, the 2007 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner, turned in 31 before trading three birdies against two bogeys on his homeward nine to end his campaign with a 10-under-par 278 total.
He finished six shots from the winner Michael Hoey of Northern Ireland. Rikard Karlberg of Sweden, a two-time Asian Tour winner, settled for tied 13th after posting a 76.
Scott Hend of Australia, ranked third on the Order of Merit, and S.S.P. Chowrasia of India finished in 30th and 32nd places respectively.
