Chiangmai, Thailand, November 11: Tour veteran Lin Wen-tang of Chinese Taipei talks about his current game and shares his thoughts ahead of the US$750,000 Chiangmai Golf Classic presented by PTT this week.

I didn’t expect it to be so hot out here but I guess as players, that’s what we have to get used to.
Maybe because it’s turning cold back home in Chinese Taipei, that’s why I am surprised by the hot weather here.
The course feels different from last year. The fairways are softer and the rough is longer this time round.
I was just telling my brother, Lin Wen-hong, that tee shots will be the key to playing well this week.
You need to think a lot when tackling this golf course. It’s a challenging one.
I haven’t been putting well in the last few events but I took some time off to practise last week.
Hopefully the efforts will pay off. I’ve been working a lot on my game.
We have six events left to play and I would probably play only four.
I just want to enjoy my game out there. Playing well would be a bonus but I don’t want to think about that right now.
I just want to do what I am supposed to do. You always tend to play better when you don’t expect much!
You won’t feel so restricted as well.
