September 26: Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand shot a second straight three-under-par 68 to stay within touching distance of the halfway stage leaders at the Porsche European Open on Friday.
Thongchai, the only player to win three Order of Merit titles, traded four birdies against one bogey to sit in tied 15th position on six-under-par 136 at the Golf Resort Bad Griesbach.
He trails Englishmen Ross Fisher and Graeme Storm and Charl Schwartzel of South Africa by four shots.
Australia’s Andrew Dodt and Scott Hend shot a 68 and 69 respectively to share 34th place while David Lipsky of the United States posted a disappointing 76 to miss the halfway cut.

Round 1

September 25: Reigning Asian Tour Order of Merit winner David Lipsky shot a five-under-par 66 to ignite his campaign at the Porsche European Open on Thursday.
The American started off slowly when he posted two birdies and one bogey on the front nine. But a late flourish where he birdied four in his closing five holes put him within two shots of the leaders Benjamin Hebert of France and Bernd Wiesberger of Austria.
Rikard Karlberg of Sweden, who won his first European Tour title last week, fired a 68 to share 34th place alongside Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand and Shiv Kapur of India.
Ends.
