March 10: Australia’s Jake McLeod made his move at the Qatar Masters by posting a six-under-par 66 to head into the final round of the European Tour event in a share of sixth place on Saturday.

McLeod, who topped the Asian Tour Stroke Average in 2018, aced the par-three three and mixed his card with four other birdies, two bogeys and an eagle to sign for a three-day total of eight-under-par 144 at the Doha Golf Club.

The Australian will start his final round two shots back of third round leader Oliver Wilson of England.

South Africa’s Justin Harding meanwhile returned with a 73 to take a share of 10th place that also includes American Kurt Kitayama, who won again in Oman last week.

Malaysia’s Gavin Green slipped to tied-32nd place following a 72 while India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar carded a 75 to take a share of 58th place.

Over at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard in Orlando, United States, Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat posted rounds of 71, 70 and 72 to trail English leader, Matthew Fitzpatrick by six shots in tied-23rd place.

Kiradech is the first player from Thailand to gain full membership on the PGA TOUR.

End.
