August 3: Noh Seung-yul of Korea battled to an even-par 70 to tie for 24th position after the third round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Saturday.
The Korean, who created history by becoming the youngest Asian Tour Order of Merit winner in 2010, got off to a good start when he birdied hole two to make the turn in 34.
He wobbled on the back when he bogeyed 10 but it was swiftly erased with a birdie on 12. A late bogey on 18 dashed his chance to keep his card in the red for the third day as he totalled two-under-par 208.
Meanwhile Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee fired a 71 to sit in tied 52nd place in the tournament where Sergio Garcia of Spain is leading.
Ends.
