Ormsby and Li secure U.S. Open debut

May 30: Australia’s Wade Ormsby and China’s Li Hao-tong will make their Major debut after qualifying for the U.S. Open at the sectional qualifier in England on Monday.
Ormsby, a winner on the Asian Tour, shot a three-under-par 69 to finish on nine-under-par 144 at the Walton Heath Golf Club - Old Course. He shot an opening 66 at the New Course.
Tied with seven players, the Australian had to battle it out in a play-off before securing the last ticket to the U.S. Open which will be played from June 15 to 18 at Erin Hills.
China’s Li Haotong secured an automatic berth to the year’s second Major tournament after finishing in second place on a 131 total, one shot back of medallist, Aaron Rai of England.
