Park Sung-joon (Kor) – Third Round 68 (-3), Total 206 (-7)
I’m feeling great. I had a practice round and I knew it would be a tough week. The par fives are playing a little bit easier so I try to make birdies there, which I did and now I’m right up there on the leaderboard.
I struggled with my putting last year and I changed to the mallet putter and it really helped me out. I started off well in the season and that gave me a lot of confidence and it seems to continue.
It is going to be another day and another 18 holes. I just got to focus on my game. It doesn’t matter who I’m playing against. I’m feeling pretty comfortable with my game so I should be good tomorrow.
Y.E. Yang (Kor) – Third Round 69 (-2), Total 208 (-5)
My game was good. Even though I only played good for 18 holes, I’m still happy! The pins were placed in such difficult positions on eight and 11 where I bogeyed. There weren’t much difference today. The wind was blowing quite strongly but my swing has been the same. I think I have a good chance. Park is playing good but I’m only two shots back and I have a good chance.
Pariya Junhasavasdikul (Tha) – Third Round 74 (+3), Total 209 (-4)
I hit the ball quite well. I guess I didn’t have any luck. I struggled on eight, nine and 10. I hooked my drive to the right and made bogey there. Tough luck on number nine when I hit my ball into the water from the rough and three-putted on number 10.
I guess I tried to push it a little bit too much after making early birdies. It is a lesson to learn.
I won’t do anything differently except stay patient. If I shoot three or four-under, maybe it might get me to the top. You never know. It is going to be some tough pins so I have to stay patient.
I hope there will be a low round. The conditions were really tough on the first day and I shot six-under. Fingers crossed.
Wade Ormsby (Aus) – Third Round 71 (even par), Total 210 (-3)
It was a bit windy but I got off to a fast start with two birdies. It was a pretty tricky day but I’m not too far off the lead. I missed a short one on the last and that kind of annoys me a little bit but that’s just how it goes.
I really can’t control what others do but I’ll just go out and do my own thing. It would be nice if I could get a Panasonic double. My game keeps getting stronger and stronger.
My putting felt better even though I three putted on a few holes but the pace of my ball was much better. Now I can try to make some putts and go low.
Winning at Panasonic Open India was good because it gives you more confidence. Everyone can keep saying that you have the game to win but until you win, you don’t really believe it yourself. I had a few good finishes after my win but missed the cut in Switzerland.
I need to hit fairways and hole putts. The roughs are quite thick and the greens are pretty tricky so you need to put yourself in good position to score.
