Northern Ireland, July 8: Asian Tour member Paul Peterson of the United States signed for a second consecutive five-under-par 67 to move to seventh place on his own at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation on Friday.
The 29-year-old Peterson, a one-time winner on the European Tour, fired one eagle and four birdies against a bogey to trail co-leaders Daniel Im and Benjamin Herbert by three shots at the Portstewart Golf Club in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
Australian duo Wade Ormsby and Andrew Dodt were amongst those bunched in 19th place on 137 following respective rounds of 70 and 66. Marcus Fraser, also of Australia, returned with a 67 to sit a further shot back in tied-30th alongside a host of players which includes Rikard Karlberg of Sweden.
Reigning Order of Merit champion Scott Hend (68) and Korean hotshot Soomin Lee (71) settled for tied-45th place on 139 while Sam Brazel of Australia posted a second straight 70 to safely make the halfway cut set at 140.
